The Dovecote

The Pub

The pub itself used to be a farmhouse and made the gradual switch to a Public House from around 1835. I think my favourite fact about the pub is that the kitchen used to be the pig styes! A far cry from how they look now you will be pleased to know. If a slice of the countryside with amazing food, great drinks and a lovely atmosphere is what you’re looking for then we are your spot.

Laxton Village

Laxton is a village absolutely steeped in history. It is the last remaining strip farming estate in Britain. Having recently been bought by local estate, Thoresby, the future looks to be very bright. The community love having the pub here and all show their support throughout the year. It’s a wonderful place to live and work and being a part of history makes it all the more worthwhile.

The Team

Owner Sam Harrison took over the business in late 2019 and along with his partner Sophie and their two dogs Maisie & Mo they live above the pub. Our Head Chef Liam Tyson and Sous Chef Liam Simpson have worked in a number of top restaurants and pubs around the country and together with our welcoming and warm Front of house Team we feel we deliver a great experience for you, our customers. We hope to welcome you soon.
